Arena

As a child I often watched cartoons before going to school as entertainment for breakfast. Entertainment is something that is needed in life. Inspired by a European culture, especially Rome, which creates a fun and tense spectacle that can make people turn away from life's problems for a moment, as well as a moral lesson for the community about the great power of the kingdom, because gladiators are usually followed by criminal convicts and prisoners of war who will be pitted against each other even against a tiger.
Based on this concept, I poured the concept of entertainment into a fantasy world. Like a television or social media that contains interesting shows for the public, in this painting I depict the figure of a dwarf as a gladiator preparing to enter the colosseum.
